Thank you Lynette Sonne from FARMstead ED for coordinating and putting on such a wonderful event and inviting us to be a part of it! We were asked by FARMstead ED to host a special media event with the help of some local businesses. One of our big duties was to host lunch, so the day started with lots of kitchen prep.
And on the Menu...
With the help of expert Chef Roxanne Castro, we served a Deconstructed Taco Salad and a Chocolate Chocolate Tart.
The Chocolate Chocolate Tart was made by Tamera with The Chocolate Stache's Raspberry Chipotle Chocolate and glazed with The Wine Diva's Chocolate Merlot Jam. The iced tea served with the meal was Ambrosia Iced Tea from Spice of Life.
The Deconstructed Taco Salad featured locally grown greens and veggies from Talley Farms. Yummy seasoned shredded beef from Templeton Hills Beef. Olive oil from The Groves on 41 which was used to make a Orange Chipotle Vinaigrette, and homemade Feta cheese and vegetables from our own gardens and goats.
